Job Responsibilities
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate must perform IV&V testing for each federal system release to ensure it satisfies system process business rules and does not have any defects that hinder or stop the system from functioning. Candidate must be able to use tools like JIRA to communicate the test plans, status, test results, and analyses to the customer, and must perform the following Tasks:
  • Support in preparing a master IV&V test plan that all subsequent IV&V testing will comply with when performing individual testing of 5 systems collectively known as each CROSS systems.
  • Plan IV&V testing required for each software release to identify which processes and technical solution components to test to ensure thorough testing of system components relevant to each system release.
  • Input the IV&V plan and associated test schedule into the COTS software development tracking and reporting tool (i.e., JIRA) for COR review and approval.
  • Input the validation scenarios, i.e., test cases, into the COTS software development tracking and reporting tool (i.e., JIRA) for COR review and approval.
  • Identify validation scenarios for each system release to ensure thorough testing of all relevant business processes affected by a system release.
  • Identify system components’ access and data required to successfully perform testing, i.e., test environment necessary to conduct testing and to meet test schedule.
  • Using ABP 330 requirements documentation for software enhancements that will be included in a system release, conduct IV&V testing on the system release.
  • Summarize IV&V testing progress weekly, to include reporting any issues or risks associated with completing the testing as scheduled.
  • Document the results of IV&V and reverification/revalidation testing using the software development tracking and reporting tool (i.e., JIRA), including the specific technical solution components impacted by testing, which the customer can then use to review the results, obtain needed clarification or additional information, determine how to best address identified risks or issues, and decide on whether to deploy the system (i.e., “Go/No Go” deployment decision).
  • Conduct reverification/revalidation testing of the system release to ensure any changes made to resolve risks or issues reported during initial IV&V do not negatively impact business rules/requirements and do not inadvertently degrade existing performance.
